Reduce Plastic in Your Life
- Carry your own bags to the farmer’s market, grocery store, drug store, and the mall.
- Keep a lightweight rolled up bag inside your purse/bag for emergency purchases.
- Save plastic produce bags and reuse them. Better yet, bring containers and fill them at the bulk stations.
- Mason jars are great for purchasing bulk items. Use old beer cozies to protect the pint jars while you carry them.
- Use washable dishes and tableware whenever possible.
- Carry a refillable coffee cup. Many coffee establishments offer a discount to patrons with a refillable cup.
- Carry a reusable stainless steel straw.
